Things aren’t looking good for JLS. After being snubbed at the Brits last week, they’re now just receieved a nomination from NME for ‘Worst Band’.
However, the band are apparently more “disappointed” that their charity work has been overlooked by the awarding body.
Band member Ortise Williams even admitted they were “happy” to receive the Worst Band nomination alongside other acts including 30 Seconds To Mars, Kings Of Leon and The Jonas Brothers.
The singer told the Daily Record: “I’m actually happy that we made it in. Whether it’s for a good thing or a bad thing, we’ve been recognised.”
The ‘Everybody In Love singer then added: “To be totally honest, I was disappointed that NME would even put us up for that award because we’ve brought some thing really significant to music.
“We also do a lot of charity work. So if NME think JLS are the worst band for all the good we’re trying to do, I’d have to question them.”
This is the second time JLS have been nominated for the Worst Group category for the NME awards.
Are JLS really the worst band ever? What do you think?
It’s obvious NME don’t know what they’re talking about…
